Knocked out a tooth playing cricket. Cracked a molar on a hidden chana. Swelling around a tooth that started this morning and is now spreading to your cheek. What do you do before you can get to a dentist? Knocked-out tooth: hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with milk or saline (not water if you can avoid it), and either put it back in the socket or carry it in a glass of milk. Get to a dentist within an hour for the best chance of saving it. Cracked tooth with pain: don't chew on that side. Rinse with warm salt water. If a fragment is loose, save it. Call us. Facial swelling: this needs same-day attention. A dental infection that spreads to the cheek or under the jaw can become serious quickly. Severe throbbing pain: cold compress on the outside of the cheek, paracetamol if you can take it. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum, which burns the tissue. We keep emergency slots open at the Maidan Garhi clinic. Call ahead so we can have you in fast. #DentalEmergency #BrokenTooth #ToothPain #EmergencyDentist #ChhatarpurDental
