If your dentist has told you that a tooth needs a crown, you'll have to pick a material. Here's the plain version. Metal crowns (gold or other alloys). Strongest, longest-lasting. Show as metallic color. Used mostly on back molars where they don't show in your smile. Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM). Tooth-coloured outside, metal core inside. Reliable, mid-range cost. Over years, the gum line can recede and show a dark metal margin. All-ceramic (zirconia or E-max). Fully tooth-colored, no metal. Zirconia is exceptionally strong, suitable for back teeth and high bite forces. E-max gives the most natural light reflection, ideal for front teeth. For most patients, our recommendation at the Chhatarpur Maidan Garhi practice is zirconia for back teeth (strength) and E-max for front teeth (aesthetics). Same-day crowns are possible in some cases. Ask us about warranty, expected lifespan, and what happens if the crown chips or comes off. A good crown should serve you for many years. #DentalCrowns #ZirconiaCrowns #EmaxCrowns #ToothRestoration #DentistDelhi
