Modern root canals are not the procedure your parents warned you about. The pain you're imagining is the pain that brought you in. The treatment itself, done with proper anaesthesia and rotary instruments, feels closer to a long filling than the horror stories suggest. Here's what actually happens. We numb the area completely. We make a small opening in the top of the tooth, clean out the infected nerve tissue, shape the canals, and fill them with a sealing material. Most cases finish in one sitting at our Chhatarpur clinic. The tooth then gets a crown to protect it from cracking under bite forces. The discomfort you feel for two or three days afterwards is the tissue around the tooth settling down. Paracetamol handles it for most patients. If your tooth is throbbing right now or chewing on it feels off, please don't wait it out hoping it settles. Untreated nerve infections spread, and a tooth that could have been saved becomes one that has to be removed. #RootCanal #ToothPain #PainlessRCT #ChhatarpurDental #DentistInDelhi
